Interior Design Information
Interior Design is the application of design principles incorporating the use of products, materials and finishes in commercial and residential properties. Some states require professional designers to be licensed.  Missouri does not require a license at this time, but Interior Designers can be voluntarily licensed by the state. A licensed designer is required to have a degree from an accredited school, serve an internship, pass an exam and keep their credentials by earning CEU'S

A professional designer has the expertise to manage your project from start to finish working with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and other service providers, coordinating and directing the entire design team.  They can also provide specifications and purchasing services to procure materials, furniture, accessories and art.

Professional organizations, such as the American Society of Interior Designers, work with LEED and are very conscious of the “Green Movement.” There is a LEED for Commercial Interiors exam and accreditation.
